Helmut Vogt

Co-founder of the Ecole des Sables and husband of Germaine Acogny, he has a background in banking and advertising and has worked with Germaine Acogny for over 35 years. Before creating the Ecole des Sables, he founded and directed the dance centre Die Tanzetage in Frankfurt, Germany, for 10 years.

He also has experience as a banker and in advertising. Helmut Vogt, known as ‘Papa Helmut’, is the heart of the Ecole des Sables, the element that is not always visible but that keeps the machine running smoothly. He was Managing Director of the Ecole des Sables until 2020.
