The Acogny Technique transmission training returns in 2026!

We are delighted to announce the first phase of the upcoming Acogny Technique Certification Program at École des Sables – a unique opportunity to develop mastery of the Acogny Technique and become a certified instructor of this globally recognized Modern African Dance technique.

Save the date: from 5 January to 28 March 2026
Location: Ecole des Sables, Toubab Dialaw, Senegal
Who is it for?  Dancers with at least one year of teaching experience.

he training will take place at the École des Sables (The International Centre for Traditional and Contemporary African Dances) in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal, and will be open to those with at least one year's teaching experience.

This is only the third time that Germaine Acogny will offer this certification program. The program is a two-phase training course, from January 5 to March 28, 2026, then from January 4 to March 27, 2027 - each lasting 12 weeks.

The aim of the program is to train teachers in the Technique, and a diploma will be awarded at the end of the two-phase course.

The course costs 3,900 euros, with a 50% discount for Africans living in Africa.
