This exchange programme is being organised for the fourth time since 2013. Its aim is to offer the multinational group of PARTS students (STUDIOS Masters programme) the opportunity to work closely with a group of young dancer-choreographers from Senegal and the African continent. The programme seeks to give participants the opportunity to gain a more informed perspective on traditional and contemporary African dance and to broaden their understanding of different dance cultures through workshops, seminars and collaborations.

The programme will include classes ranging from traditional African dance to contemporary dance and Western approaches, workshops with African choreographers and seminars on contemporary African arts and thought. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop collaborative projects among themselves. A number of excursions to Dakar and other parts of Senegal will also be organised.
