Make a donation

Ecole des Sables is a not-for-profit organisation and part of its budget comes from donations.
There are different ways for you to become partners in the journey, the dream and the realisation of EDS.
Whether it's a small or large donation, each partnership enables us to continue to explore, create, educate and convey the art of traditional and contemporary African dance.

If you require any further information, please contact us and we will be happy to answer your questions.

Thank you for your time and consideration

Why should I help Ecole des Sables?

In March 2021, under the impetus of the new artistic direction of Alesandra Seutin and Wesley Ruzibiza, Ecole des Sables (EDS) launched Compagnie Jant-Bi II, made up of young dancers based in Senegal. It serves as a reservoir and pied-à-terre for the senior company. The company's fundamental mission is the training, creation and above all the dissemination of dance and its role as an element of development and social cohesion. Its ambition is to promote dance and make it accessible to all local communities in Senegal by 2030.

In parallel with this new project, regular courses are offered to members of the company and young Senegalese dancers, with the aim of developing their professional skills and enabling them to earn a living from their art.
Through this initiative, which targets a minimum of 30 dancers, EDS also wants to help reduce the exodus from the African continent by stimulating artistic talent in our communities and creating career opportunities for local professional dancers.

Since 1998, Ecole des Sables has been developing professional training programmes for young dancers and choreographers of African origin. To date, more than 800 dancers from 28 African countries, including 150 from Senegal, have been trained.

Donation management

The Ecole des Sables receives donations through the Association les Amis de l'École des Sables, located in Meyzieu, France.

The aim of the association is to publicise the work of Ecole des Sables in France and elsewhere in the world, to support the projects and activities of École des Sables and, more broadly, choreographic creation, to mobilise resources to help fund École des Sables projects, and to encourage exchanges and partnerships between artists and professionals in France and Senegal and, more generally, in the North and South.
