International Easter Workshop

Ecole des Sables brings to you two-weeks of intensive dance, encounter, exchange and conversations around social and contemporary dance cultures across Africa, its Diaspora and the world. This international workshop invites dancers, makers and teachers, who work in social/club, traditional, contemporary and hybrid forms, to come together and experiment with the known/unknown transmission and creative approaches.

Participants of all the five continents are welcome to apply.

You will live together, train daily in amazing open studios with inspiring and excellent teachers; exchange, discover dances, practices and cultures from one another within Ecole des Sables, a beautiful and secured dance centre.

1.000€/ 655.000 CFA Includes:
7 hours of dance a day, standard shared accommodation in the school bungalows, 3 full meals a day, transfer from and to Dakar Airport.
Not included:
Flight, visa (if needed), travel insurance and Goree Island trip (optional)

Dance Afrique | Experimental Flow International Workshop 2021 is a two-weeks International Intensive Workshop organised by Alesandra Seutin | Vocab Dance with École des Sables in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal as the host. This workshop aims to connect dancers who work in street dance and club styles, to dance theatre, social, traditional and contemporary forms, creating new narratives by embodying dances of Africa and the Black Diaspora.
